How Reports counts your numbers

What each number in FollowThroo Reports means, how reply rate, positive replies and LinkedIn acceptance are worked out, and what the filters do.

Last updated

FollowThroo Reports counts what actually happened in your workspace: messages sent, replies, leads and wins. Nothing is estimated. When something can't be measured, the report says Not tracked, Not configured or Not enough data instead of showing a made-up number. Open Reports in the sidebar.

The filters

  • Period: 7D, 30D (the default), 90D or Custom, up to 366 days. Days are counted in UTC.
  • Each number is compared with the period of the same length just before it.
  • Campaign, Channel, Team member, Pipeline and Lead source narrow every number on the page. The filters are kept in the page address, so you can share a filtered report.
  • You only see what your role lets you see: owners and admins see the whole workspace, a manager their department's leads, and a team member their own.

How each number is worked out

NumberHow it's counted
OutreachMessages sent in the period, on every channel
RepliesVerified replies in the period: answers to something FollowThroo sent. A new email from a lead isn't counted
Reply rateReplies ÷ outreach, to one decimal place
PositiveHow many different leads replied with a reply labelled interested. Blank when no reply in the period was labelled
Leads createdNew leads in the period
Qualified, Won, ConversionOf the leads created in the period, how many are qualified or won today. Conversion is won ÷ created
Won dealsPipeline deals closed in a won stage in the period, with their value
OpenedCounted by a tracking image, so it's approximate: some mail apps load images for everyone, others never do
DeliveredNot tracked: connected mailboxes don't report delivery

LinkedIn numbers

  • Sent counts connection requests that went out. Already connected and Already pending are counted separately and never as sent or failed.
  • Acceptance rate is accepted ÷ sent. LinkedIn doesn't announce acceptances, so FollowThroo counts one when the desktop app or the extension sees the person among your connections. It can undercount; it never guesses.
  • The LinkedIn funnel goes from entering a campaign, to being connected (accepted or already connected), to the first message, a response and qualified.

Source ROI

Leads, qualified leads, wins and deal value per lead source. To see cost and cost per win, set each source's Monthly cost under Settings, then Lead sources; it is spread over the period you choose. Without it, the cost reads Not configured.

Ask Throo about a report

The Ask Throo panel in Reports explains the numbers on screen and suggests what to try. It sees totals only, never your contacts or their messages. It is free, up to 5 questions per workspace per day.
