When campaign steps send: days, waits and sending hours

How FollowThroo times each campaign step: send days, sending hours, LinkedIn waits, mailbox limits and running out of credits.

Last updated

Each step in a FollowThroo campaign has a day, counted from when the lead joined the campaign. When that day comes, the step goes out as soon as nothing holds it back: email waits for your sending hours, LinkedIn waits for the desktop app and the connection, and every step waits for credits. A step that is held is delayed, never skipped.

Send days

In the 1 · Sequence tab, Send on day is counted from enrollment, the moment the lead joins the campaign. Day 0 goes straight away. The gap between two steps is the difference between their days, so a day-3 step after a day-0 step goes three days after that first step actually went out. If an earlier step was held up, the later ones keep their spacing from it.

Sending hours

Email only goes out during your workspace's sending hours. Until someone changes them they are 9 AM to 7 PM India time, Monday to Saturday. An owner or admin sets the days, hours and time zone in Settings, then Mailboxes & domains, under Sending hours. An email that falls due at night waits for the next opening.

LinkedIn steps

  • LinkedIn steps are carried out by the FollowThroo desktop app on your computer. While it is closed they wait, and the lead shows waiting for the desktop app.
  • A LinkedIn message needs the person to be a connection. After a connection request, the message's days count from when they accepted, not from when the request went out.
  • If the request isn't accepted within 21 days, the message isn't sent and the lead moves on to their next step.
  • LinkedIn doesn't announce acceptances. FollowThroo sees them when the desktop app or the Chrome extension reads your connections list, so an acceptance shows up the next time one of them runs.

What else can hold a step

What holds itWhen it goes
Outside your sending hoursWhen your sending hours next open
The mailbox reached its hourly or daily limitWhen the limit allows again. FollowThroo also leaves 30 to 90 seconds between emails, so a large batch goes out over time
No credits left todayWhen credits are available again. The daily allowance refills at midnight India time, and top-ups are used once it runs out
The campaign is pausedWithin about an hour of Resume
An email Throo wrote is waiting for reviewWhen you approve it
LinkedIn asked the desktop app to sign in or prove you are human, or the daily LinkedIn limit was reachedThe action goes back in the queue with its credits held, and the campaign pauses. Sort it out in the desktop app, then click Resume
