Tasks, the bell and email notifications

How tasks work in FollowThroo, what reaches the notification bell, and which emails you can switch off under Settings, then Notifications.

Last updated

FollowThroo tells you when something needs you. Everything appears under the bell at the top of the app; some things also arrive by email, which you can switch off. Tasks are the follow-ups you or a teammate owe a lead.

Tasks

  • Open Tasks to see Overdue, today's work (due today, plus anything with no date), Upcoming and Recently done.
  • Give a task to a teammate and they're told straight away. Giving yourself a task is silent.
  • When a task comes due, its owner is reminded. If it stays open a day past that, their manager is nudged.
  • Close a task when it's done, or Reopen it.

What reaches the bell

  • A lead replied, on any channel, to the lead's owner.
  • A lead or task was given to you, or a task is due or overdue.
  • A channel needs you: a mailbox can't sign in, the LinkedIn sign-in for posting is expiring, the desktop app has been offline for a day with work waiting, LinkedIn asked for a security check, a WhatsApp template was approved or rejected, a sending domain was verified.
  • A LinkedIn post was published or failed, an autopilot wrote drafts for review, or a Brand Brain file is ready or failed.
  • Billing, for owners and admins: credits running out, a plan ending, a payment received or failed.

Each event reaches you once, even when it's checked again later.

Email notifications

Under Settings, then Notifications, switch these emails on or off. They only change email; the bell always shows the event.

SettingWhat it sends
Task assigned to youAn email the moment someone gives you a task
Contact assigned to youAn email when a contact is routed or given to you. An import arrives as one email, not one per contact
Task remindersAn email when one of your tasks comes due, and a nudge to your manager if it stays open a day past that
Morning digestOne email at 8 AM with what's overdue and due today. Nothing on a day with nothing due
Getting-started tipsUp to three short emails in your first week on a paid plan

Receipts, payment problems, plan reminders and sign-in emails always arrive, whatever these settings say.
