Connect the LinkedIn extension and add people

Install the Chrome extension, pair it with your workspace, and add people from LinkedIn.

Two small programs work together. The Chrome extension only reads pages you open and adds people to FollowThroo. The Windows desktop app is the only one that sends connection requests.

Steps

  1. Install FollowThroo for LinkedIn from the Chrome Web Store. (An extension is a small add-on for your browser.)
  2. In FollowThroo, open Channels, then LinkedIn, and copy the pairing code from Connect the Chrome extension.
  3. Click the extension's icon in Chrome, choose Settings, type https://app.followthroo.com in the App URL box, paste the code, and click Connect.
  4. Stay signed in to LinkedIn in the same browser. Open a people search, your connections, a company's people, a group, an event, or the likes and comments on a post, tick the people you want, and add them. On a single profile, use the Add button next to the name.

Each person arrives marked with where they came from, so you can see later which searches worked. Someone already in FollowThroo shows as In FollowThroo and is not added twice. Adding people this way costs 1 credit for every 10 people.

For a long list you already have, import a spreadsheet with a linkedin url column instead.
